I expected more in the way of exercises that went thru the buying and selling of options and evaluating your position, rather than multiple guess questions to test concepts.

Partial cover and misses the best parts of the main text and what it does cover is not to the same standard.

I bought the study guide as companion to the main text "Options as a Strategic Investment" 5th ed.
I am disappointed with the guide as it only covers the spreads covered in the first part of the main text. I wrongly assumed it covered all the chapters in the main text with typical end of chapter type questions and answers. It does not cover any of the mathematical ideas presented in the book i.e. compound Implied volatility, calculating option spread contracts to neutralise specific greeks, stock price movement etc. It also does not cover any of the good discussion on the VIX and volatility hedging strategies nor VIX futures (covered in the main text).
In my mind, it is the second part of the main text that really makes the book worth while and yet the work book does not cover any of it.
The spreads that are covered in the work book, can be studies just as well and for free on the CBOE's website under their education section.

As I have gotten older, I find the more I read, the more my mind wanders. By having AND USING a study guide, you force yourself to retain the key points. It has been very helpful for me.
