This book has given me a better understanding of chord progressions and song construction

Although I haven't completed everything in the book, and I am trying to teach myself how to play I am enjoying what is in the book. Along with the authors videos on You Tube I believe I have learned a lot. My mind still doesn't let me visualize much, my little bit of playing (only started this 7 months ago) has improved much from practicing the 12 major scales with both hands at the same time. I have played other instruments, so I already knew how to read music. This book has given me a better understanding of chord progressions and song construction. It also reinforces the positive outlook you need to have to accomplish any goal. I was feeling stuck with the adult piano lesson book because of the repeat of a lot of things I already knew. I am learning to play for my own entertainment and hopefully to be able to put some simple songs together for the background music of any more iOS games that I code. This book might not be for everybody, but I am happy that I bought it.

About the Author

Tina Agustiady is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Continuous Improvement Leader. Tina is currently employed at Philips Healthcare. Agustiady received a BS in industrial and manufacturing systems engineering from Ohio University. She earned her Black Belt and Master Black Belt certifications at Clemson University.

Agustiady is also the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) Lean Division President and served as a board director and chairman for the IIE annual conferences and Lean Six Sigma conferences. She is an editor for the International Journal of Six Sigma and Competitive Advantage.

Dr. Cudney is an Associate Professor in the Engineering Management and Systems Engineering Department at Missouri University of Science and Technology. Dr. Cudney received her B.S. in Industrial Engineering from North Carolina State University. She received her Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering with a Manufacturing Specialization and Master of Business Administration from the University of Hartford, and her doctorate in Engineering Management from the University of Missouri – Rolla. Her doctoral research focused on pattern recognition and developed a methodology for prediction in multivariate analysis. Dr. Cudney’s research was recognized with the 2007 ASEM Outstanding Dissertation Award.

Prior to returning to school for her doctorate, she worked in the automotive industry in various roles including Six Sigma Black Belt, Quality/Process Engineer, Quality Auditor, Senior Manufacturing Engineer, and Manufacturing Manager. Dr. Cudney is an ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, Certified Quality Engineer, Manager of Quality/Operational Excellence, Certified Quality Inspector, Certified Quality Improvement Associate, Certified Quality Technician, and Certified Quality Process Analyst.

Mark Dudek is a Research Fellow at the School of Architecture, University of Sheffield and has been a practising architect for 20 years. He has designed and built many childcare environments and has published books on early years architecture, school buildings and children's urban culture.

Outstanding Review of Early Childhood Learning Environments

This book is an absolute delight to read and a must have for all those who are interested in the experience of place in schools. Early childhood learning environments are perhaps the most fascinating learning spaces to study because they are tied so closely to competing philosophical and developmental views on how young children learn and grow. The history, analysis, and photos in this book complement each other wonderfully.

This book only shows some rare centers in Europe. Nothing special. Maybe is worth for a collector of architectural books...
If you are intrested in designing a Child Care Center this book wont bring you new ideas. Will be useless.
