NOT your average romance!

This is a great debut novel. I've become a bit jaded when it comes to romances; they all seem to follow the same formula. But with this book, I was pleasantly surprised.

This book stands out from other romances for several reasons. One is the realistic character development. The main characters have areas of their lives where they are quite confident, and others where they are not so secure. Even the secondary characters are well developed and interesting. And the issues that keep Bronte and Nico from fully committing to each other are not contrived misunderstandings but real fears and concerns. Bronte, still recovering from an emotionally abusive relationship, is naturally distrustful of playboy Nico. And Nico has good reason to tread softly when dealing with the sister of his good friend and business partner, not to mention he has his own emotional scar tissue. Each has secrets that they are not yet ready to share-secrets that could be deal-breakers.

Last but not least, the sex scenes are well-written-very, very hot but never crude. All this is set against the backdrop of an old English estate turned luxury hotel and the street cafes, shops and exciting nightlife of Rome. Definitely a satisfying read and I look forward to more good things to come from CC MacKenzie.

Romantic escape

This book is one fun, addictive, romantic read! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to forget about reality for a while, and get hooked by a delightfully complex heroine and dazzlingly exotic hero. The plot moves right along with a couple big unexpected twists - but not so fast that readers don't get to savor the budding relationship and romance. (Major adult content here!) I just couldn't put this one down! The setting provided for additional enjoyment, also. Looking forward to reading more by CC MacKenzie!

Sharpe).

His work has appeared in Business and Society Review, Acta Commercii, Ife PsycholoGIA, European Business Review, Canadian Journal of Development Studies and Consulting Psychology Journal.

Dr. Terri R. Lituchy (Ph.D.University of Arizona) is an Associate Professor of International Management at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. Although the designs are stock and seem reminiscent of other designs we have in many of our coloring books, I enjoyed this color book, no swear words drawn over stock designs, but an original idea of "swearable moment responses." This is where the four stars come from...Kudos to Crabby Pants.

When we buy coloring books in stores we can look inside to see if we like the designs and check for any we already have. WHY Not Here On Amazon??

About the Author

Piers Bizony’s book Atom, the dramatic story of the rivalries and passions behind the discovery of quantum physics, was a tie-in for a BBC TV series.

An earlier book,The Rivers of Mars, a critically acclaimed analysis of the life on Mars debate, was shortlisted for the NASA/Eugene M. Emme Award for Astronautical Writing, while Invisible Worldsexplored the strange borderland where twenty-first century science meets art.

The Space Shuttle In Words And Pictures

Many of us thrilled at the accomplishments of the Space Shuttle program and mourned its tragedies and would appreciate a look back at its history. If you are one of those, find a comfortable chair, maybe on your porch or by your fire, pour your favorite drink and open “The Space Shuttle: Celebrating Thirty Years of Nasa’s First Space Plane”.

Its seven “stages” each begin with a narrative explaining that particular phase of the program, its inception, development, and closure, its crossroads, its highs and lows, its accomplishments and its lost heroes. After the introduction each stage contains a summary of every shuttle mission with dates, orbiter, crew and significant missions.

The most enticing feature of this book is its pictures. The cover shows the orbiter with its open cargo bay and Canada Arm silhouetted against earth and space. On page after page we see equipment and crew, rockets and orbiter, launches and landings, life aboard and space walks, space stations and satellites and incredible blues and whites and stark black.

Author Piers Bizony has created a work that will rekindle memories and introduce us to details that had slid by as we lived our lives and while the shuttle explored overhead. It took me back to the day when a friend suggested that we have lunch at Charlie’s with its big screen television to watch the first landing, and an awesome sight it was.
