Excellent for Teaching Critical Thinking in Ethics

I have been using this text as a supplemental text for a number of years in my ethics class. It is the single best text for making sense out of the numerous normative ethics theories. The text helps beginning students understand the role of 'facts' and 'values' in making 'value judgments'. The worksheets help students approach deontological, consequentialist and teleological processes as different methodologies that solve moral problems in different ways. Dr. Brown's synthesis of these diverse approaches to reach coherent moral judgments is the best training in critical thinking that I have found in the subject are of ethics. I recommend it to all beginning students in ethics and their teachers as a remarkable aid.

I am disappointed with my order because online the product said 3rd edition and when I received the package I go the 2nd edition. My professor and the author of the book asked us to get the 3rd edition, so that is what I ordered.
